"The money awarded to me by the Royal Aero Club Trust has helped me greatly. Because of them I achieved FF1 much faster than I would have done alone. And because of that, I am able to use and refine my new skills by doing jumps with other freeflyers and having lots of fun. Jumping is now a whole new exciting adventure and has opened many more doors for me in the sport of skydiving. Many thanks to everyone at The Royal Aero Club Trust. By the way, I'm the one in the black, blue, red and yellow in the formation photo!"

"For anyone at all interested in pursuing a career that is aviation related, I would say flight experience is a must. - Location: Northampton
- Jesse Karadia - Parachuting

"The RAeCT Bursary was very useful as it allowed me to undergo an intensive training period to help me to get my FF1. In skydiving jumping frequently is vital when learning new skills, so this bursary allowed me to put lots of jumps in a short period rather than spread my jumps over a longer period. The bursary has been very useful in helping me get my FF1 and improve my skills."

In a second flight, I landed at my destination after five hours and fifty one minutes. I can tell you it felt good! My sincere gratitude goes to the Royal Aero Club Trust for making my ambition of obtaining my Silver Badge possible, and to my friends and instructors for their assistance and advice."
- Tim Pennock - Gliding

"I believe the RAeCT bursary has helped me further my skills in my sport by giving me the ability to jump when I might not have been able to. The money towards my FS1 grade was extremely well received and my centre Skydive Strathallan even included a free jump to help me along."
- Robert Starling - Gliding
- Age on application: 16
- Location: Sale

"The bursary enabled me to gain my bronze badge with cross-country endorsement and to obtain the required ten hours solo flying. It also enabled me to attend a junior soaring course run by the British Gliding Association. While on this course I also managed to complete my silver badge, flying the silver distance (50 km) and silver duration ( 5 hours) in one flight. During the course, I learnt a lot about cross-country flying and soaring techniques which I have put to good use by gaining my 100 Km diploma on returning to my club. I am the youngest person in my club to have the silver badge and I am grateful to the Royal Aero Club Trust for awarding me this bursary, which has enabled me to make such rapid progress."
- Kyle Thomas - Parachuting
- Age on application: 19
- Location: Chichester

"The RAeC Bursary scheme aided me in achieving my FF1 grading through help with coached skydives. The bursary greatly accelerated the time it took to get this qualification, which gave me the time to prepare for competition. I would urge any aviation minded young individual to apply for this scheme. It really does help and only takes minutes to fill out the application form."
- Alex Wigg - Parachuting
- Age on application: 19
- Location: Harrow

"The RAeCT bursary really helped me in my progression towards gaining my Formation Skydiving qualification. I had an awesome time doing the training and many thanks to the instructors at Hinton Skydiving Centre for all their help and support. Now that I have received my FS, I am able to start learning other disciplines within skydiving, such as freeflying. Being a student at Uni, it is often quite difficult to find the money to skydive, so I would like to say thanks again to the Royal Aero Club Trust. I am currently starting up a University Skydiving Club at Kingston, so I will definitely mention to all the new members the possibility of receiving one of these bursaries in hope that it will encourage them to take up the sport! I would suggest that young people interested in any air sport, make the most of this opportunity to be given money to do something you love!"
