This website aims to keep potential volunteers informed about Royal Aero Club Trust vacancies. The Trust urgently needs highly motivated volunteers in almost every age group, from all walks of life, backgrounds and fields of activity who would like to assist the Trust with its various and interesting projects. The commitment of volunteers can be as limited or extended as they wish, but every little helps. The Trust does not employ any full-time or part-time staff. The Trust is a registered Charity and a voluntary organisation. The activities of the Trust include:
![]() The Trust's "Flying for Youth" programme includes awarding youngsters Flying Bursaries and Flight Sim Bursaries. Also, creating websites that will appeal to youngsters in the 6 to 21 year age groups to increase their awareness of air sport and related activities and in particular to encourage their participation in such activities. All our vacancies are part-time and unsalaried but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Whilst our Registered Office is in Leicester, practically all of our vacancies are home-based, which could almost be anywhere in the UK. The Royal Aero Club archival collection includes photographs and postcards which are currently stored at the Royal Air Force Museum, Hendon in North-West London, but the collection is not presently available to the public. As and when any archival material is temporarily removed from RAF Museum, Hendon for processing, it will be necessary for it to be insured. The Trust would now like to make selected images available (a) 'on-line' and (b) on CDs to aviation enthusiasts and researchers in the UK and around the world. Role
